Q: What is Core to Coeur?
A: Core to Coeur is a virtual fitness studio where instructors teach movement classes in real time to our clients. Instructors are able to see your body, make alignment adjustments, just like a fitness session in person. We provide our clients an exceptional fitness experience in the privacy of their own homes, on their time.

Q: How do I know my environment is suitable for exercise?

A: To get the most of our sessions, we recommend having a quiet room for exercise, free from distraction. However, we recognize that most of our clients have children, pets, and partners that are unpredictable and still need to get their hour of self care in! While we can’t control your environment, there is a mute function on the video screen if you feel self conscious of possible noise.

Q: How does a Group Session work? Does it mean a group of clients on one screen? Does it mean I have to form my own group?
A: A Group Session is a remote class with up to five class participants on different screens. Core to Coeur offers a growing number of Group Sessions on our Scheduling Page. You do not have to have a pre-made group to attend. Private Groups are for friends and family that want to work out together remotely. If you’re interested, please see our Referral Program and Email Us to schedule one!

Q: How do I know that my internet speed is appropriate for a live training session?
A: We encourage you check your internet Speed Test on your device and the room you’ll be working out in before the start of your session (make sure it is in Kpbs).

Video calling require an upload and download speed of at least 128Kpbs. High-definition video calling requires an upload and download speed of at least 1.2 megabits per second. For a group video call, a minimum download speed of 512Kbps and a minimum upload speed of 128Kbps is required. 

Q: I’m having trouble accessing my class. How can I trouble shoot on my own?

While your instructor is able to help you, we recommend going to Whereby’s Help Page for a comprehensive trouble shooting center.

Q: What device to recommend for my sessions?
A: For most places, laptops work well, and we recommend this option for our non-tech savvy clients. Please not our video meeting software is only compatible with Firefox or Chrome. If you’re traveling, have poor WiFi, or need a more convenient option, use your phone or tablet for your session with a gooseneck device stand. You must download the Whereby app before your session, and no registration is required. Just click on your Instructor’s Tab at the beginning of your session and the app opens automatically.

Q: What if the internet connection goes out during a session?
A: You and your instructor will sign off and sign back on to the session. If the problem persists, Core to Coeur will refund you the amount of minutes missed on your session.

Q: What if I have to cancel a session because I am sick or have an emergency?
A: Core to Coeur has a strict cancellation policy: 24 hour notice for Private Sessions, 4 hours for Open Groups if you need to cancel your session. If you are sick, please email your instructor directly. We empower our instructors to decide on a case by case basis to charge you for your missed session in full, half, or in exceptional circumstances, refund your session.

Q: I want to schedule a Private Group with other participants I know in different cities. How do I do this?
A: Email with your groups preferred / time, and style of exercise, and we will choose the next instructor available.
